The best offers are those where free really does mean free: no need to part with any money and no obligation to buy any other goods or services. In some cases, however, you have to sign up for something else to get the gravy. There are countless adverts emblazoned across websites offering you free iPods, laptops, cars, girls, small ex-Soviet countries and so on, and while some of these are so obviously dodgy that you'd have to be deranged even to click on them, others are more intriguing. We didn't quite have the time to go through the entire Internet and separate the genuine offers from the scams, but we can point you in the direction of some decent-sounding deals and suggest some catches to watch out for.
Even better than free goods is free money, and we've also rounded up some ways you can generate cash online without having to do any of that boring work stuff. You won't be retiring to Rio on the proceeds, but if you can make a few quid with a few mouse clicks, who's complaining?
