Upload photos to Flickr
If you don't need full-blown web hosting, services like Flickr make it easy to put photos online where others can see them.
1 Go to Flickr.com and create an account (you'll need to set up a Yahoo! ID, if you don't already have one), then sign in. On the entry screen, choose a Flickr screen name for yourself and click Create a new account. On the next screen ('OK. You're all set'), click Upload your first photo. |
2 You'll now see a bunch of Browse buttons. Each of these can be used to attach a digital image file from your hard disk, up to 5MB in size. To help yourself and others find relevant pictures, you can add 'tags' for the set of images - words describing their content, separated by spaces. Choose your privacy options, then click Upload. |

3 Flickr automates the process of resizing the image for web display, then takes you to a description page so you can give your image a title, description and image-specific tags. Click Save and you'll be taken to your photos page. Click a photo to access its individual page, the address of which can be sent to friends. |
