Product ReviewsDigital cameras
The Kodak may be plastic, but it's rugged enough to take a few knocks. It also has a lens cap, something most others neglect. Test photos were the best of all the digital cameras we've seen. Our outdoor scene was very well exposed. Colour was vibrant and the lens captured a wide field of vision. The 1,152x864 resolution is highest of those on test, so photos are sharper. Kodak supplies its Picture Easy software, similar to Microsoft's user-friendly Picture It!, plus a TWAIN driver. There's also some handy software that makes your PC see the camera as another disk drive, so getting at images is easy. On the down side, there's a massive seven-second delay after each picture before you can take the next. And although you can view each image after taking it, you can't use the screen while taking them - only the viewfinder. Even so, the Kodak's still a great camera. It's pricey but wins a Recommended award. By - Keir Thomas SPECIFICATIONS:
