Opening with the A205S, Fujifilm is hoping to attract the novice photographer with a 3x optical zoom, a 2megapixel CCD, a video-out connection to pipe pictures straight to your telly and long battery life. Available in September, Fujifilm has yet to price the camera, although with 2megapixel cameras currently around the £200 mark, expect a competitive figure.

The S7000 again uses a Super CCD HR, this time with a 6.3megapixel CCD capable of producing 12megapixel images. A 6x optical zoom and full manual control makes this more suitable for a more advanced photographer. And slots for both xD-Picture cards and CompactFlash cards or IBM Microdrives mean Fujifilm is expecting you'll need plenty of space to store those huge image files.
xD-Picture cards currently top out at 512MB (compared with IBM's 2GB Microdrive), but are specified to run to 8GB in capacity in the future.
The S7000 will be available in October.
