The FinePix A303 Zoom and A203 Zoom have a 3.24megapixel and 2megapixel CCD respectively, along with a 3x optical zoom, movie and programmed auto-exposure modes. They will cost £350 and £300, or less.
If your wallet still doesn't have the stomach for these, then the FinePix A204 Zoom and A202 may suit your palate at £250 and £160. The former sports a 3x optical zoom and both have a 2megapixel CCD and offer both movie and macro modes.
The S304 needs four standard AA batteries - the other models, just two. All come with a 16Mb xD-Picture card and software for viewing and editing images and video. The cameras can also be plugged into a PC via USB and act as Webcams.
