The device sports a Wi-Fi button on its fascia, pressing which reveals the presence of local wireless networks and their signal strength.
This saves the hassle of fishing your laptop out of your bag only to discover there's no wireless coverage; although the downside is you have to wear a device bearing an uncanny resemblance to a 1980s Casio calculator watch with an ugly Wi-Fi logo splashed across the front.
The watch is also water resistant to 100m, which is handy for Scuba diving surfers.
The Wi-Fi Detecting Watch is a mere snip at £20 from wholesaler Thumbsupuk.com, which stipulates a minimum order quantity of six. However, the site is currently out of stock. It's obviously one to, ahem, watch.
