The AG Neovo V-10 takes a different approach to most of the frames in this group. Whereas almost all the others employ remote controls or awkward buttons on the back panel to control photo playback, the V-10 has touch sensitive controls on the front that fade away from sight when they're not being used.

We tested the red version - it's also available in black - and found the control system intuitive and simple. The rear of the unit, unlike other frames, is bereft of anything except the power cable; the card

slots and power button are hidden behind a sliding panel. It's all very slick.

As we've noted before when testing this series of products, AG Neovo have chosen an odd aspect ratio for their screens, which means your photos are less likely to be the same shape as the display. That means you have to choose whether they appear stretched and distorted to fit, or with black bars down the sides to fill the rest of the space. This aside, the V-10's picture quality was good, with colours appearing bright and vibrant, and edges sharp.

The non-standard aspect ratio is quite annoying. You can run into similar issues with other frames if your photos are different shapes, for example if your collection includes scans of traditional prints or you use a pro digital camera that shoots in 3:2 rather than 4:3 ratio, but only users of the few 'widescreen' format cameras will find their snaps fit the AG Neovo without compromise.

In other respects it's a solid frame, but the quality isn't quite up to the level of the Kodak or AgfaPhoto units, and the price isn't exceptionally reasonable for a 7 inch.
