I use the RSS feeds to the News, Reviews and Blogs using Netvibes. Unfortunately, only the News feeds seem to work properly, the other two feeds show posts late, sometimes 3 days after the post was written! For example, this post and the next two are not currently showing up in my feed. Don’t know if it is Netvibes or your feeds though, haven’t tried another feed service, but strange how the News one works properly.

A lot of the magazine content appears on the website after a period of time so I don’t bother with the mag anymore.

mcviracca,
We’ve noticed the Netvibes feeds don’t update very regularly, even with a manual refresh. There is no problem with the RSS feeds themselves, so we assume this is some kind of caching applied by Netvibes.

@Dieter I could not agree more; plus, is it just me or is the magazine is getting thinner and thinner (excluding the adverts) – I seem to read it in one sitting/night these days (even if I read about Hard Disk drives in all its exciting detail).

The paper mag is still better for longer features, group tests etc IMHO.
July 20th, 2010 at 3:33 pm
@Arek, for Group Tests I agree, but the longer features are posted to the website after a short while.

@Barry Collins
Thanks for the reply, I thought as much, glad the News feed works ok though.
Netvibes isn’t the most reliable start page/feed reader but it’s the most convenient for me, having multiple feeds all visible on one page, and tabs for different types of feeds.

Thanks for the comments. Re: web/magazine. Not all of the mag content is transfered to the web. And even those features that do make it online are only uploaded when the magazine goes off sale.

I have been a subscriber for years and even though content is available on the web (and the excellent podcast) I will continue to subscribe to keep the money rolling in to support this excellent mag and it’s great writers. I am, however considering going digital with my Ipad – is the Zinio app any good ? are there any trials ?

…of course this would be with an annual subscription
