Google maps is rolling out a walking route finder similar to this. If you navigate to google maps then for destination put in “from:” then your postcode ” to:” then your destination and ensure you have chosen walking as you travel method it will perform the same task.

This sounds like a good website, hopefully it will encourage more people to walk. I have been looking round for a good cycle route website, that includes the NCN as well as roads and so forth; there do not seem to be many of these around.

I’ve used it a few times, both in London and Birmingham. Never had any problems

I love Walk-IT, but I wish they’d change the zoom control on their map, having + at the bottom and – at the top is completely at odds with other on-line mapping services. It always catches me out, and drives me mad!
