		<description>I thoroughly agree that a CD/DVD drive is not essential for a notebook. I have an external 150Gb drive (small by today&#039;s standards) loaded with ISO images of all the software I use, plus lots of installers for all the common non-CD/DVD apps. If I get stuck I download anything else over broadband. I simply see no need for a CD/DVD drive on a portable unless you are inclined to use it as a media centre.</description>

That said, I&#039;d be looking for a 17&quot; display, with a 1920x1200 resolution, so the addition of a DVD drive on that size of machine is pretty much irrelevant...</description>
