The great thing about Android is that it will run on a range of handsets, so design isn’t a huge issue. Hopefully there will be a good selection of handsets to choose from in a few months.

Google’s line of business is not manufacturing cell phones or designing them.
They for sure design the Web Application and with Android they are taking their Web Apps to the Mobile Phones.
